What software should I use to split a 1.4gb avi into 2 700mb avis?

Just downloaded a concert and its just one 1.4gb file and i want to burn it to 2 cd's. Whats the best program for it?

virtualdub is best, but depend which format, mpeg and avi are the only one supported if i'm not mistaken. and the program is tough to understand if your new to it.

TMPGenc - is much easier, large buttons, 3 or 4 steps and you're done. a bit heavy on the pc, depends on what pc you got.

but i would go on virtualdub! forever!!

I've been using SolveigMM AVI Trimmer because it keeps videos with VBR-audio better in sync.

+1 for virtualdub if u want there is virtualdubMOD which does even more.. and its free as well

pretty easy to split. just select the range with "home" and "end" buttons and save as thats it.. ow and choose direct stream copy under audio and video..

Vdub is probably the best way to go. You can find many guides and tons of useful info at videohelp.com or doom9.org the two best sites for that type of thing.
