First off, Im continuing this project that Freedr started. Great Job Freedr! Im just taking it off his hands because hes "lazy" But he will still be there (I think). I also created this thread because the other one was full of "Thanks you's" and unneccessary comments and my download was in the way back

Anyway. I am updating the clientID's for smasher's mod since the current ones are out of date and are easily spotted as 'leech mods'

Download Below is Smasher Mod v1.9 ClientID updated. (Download on Second page is v1.8) Download whichever version you need

If i spoof the Azureus Version 2.3.0.4 the Updater says that my Version needs an update nevertheless. Does this has to be like that?

I am currently having trouble with ABC since a few trackers read it as Unknown/--- and some others read as it should be (ABC 3.0.1)

That doesn't necessarily mean it does not work. Some trackers just need to be updated. Do the trackers you get 'Unknown' from also say 'Unknown' from the real client, ABC 3.0.1?

You are right. So it does work then. Ill get the new version up as Soon as I test it some more with the real client.

Have you turned off Automatic updates?
Tools -> Options -> Interface -> Start -> Uncheck "Check for latest version when azureus starts" and "Check for latest version periodically" and its not necessary but you could also uncheck "Automatically open the update assistance when an update is available"

That should turn off all updates. You should no longer have a problem.

Also, the spoofed ClientID DOES NOT tell azureus homepage the spoofed ID. It tells you are running 2.2.0.3B29 and not 2.3.0.4 Its just looking for update of the client.. Just follow my steps and you should be fine.

I used in tbytes, filelist, tleech , Pretorrents.. and work perfectly .. but in 1 torrent show no connectable

Which one? And what ID were you using?

Also, wo genau kann ich sehen ob das funktioniert? also unter "tweaks", emuliere anderen client, kann ich 2.3.0.4 auswählen, gehts dann?

Well i have looked into the "boxtorrents" issue. Its the trackers way of reading the clients.
Results
Spoof of Azureus 2.3.0.4 displayed unknown same with 2.3.0.0
Spoof of ABC 3.0.1 displayed ABC 2.6.9
Spoof of BitTorrent 4.0.2 displayed ABC 2.6.9

REGULAR ABC 3.0.1 Displays ABC 3.0.1

So im pretty sure its a tracker issue. Just use Azureus 2.3.0.4 spoof. There are many people in the peerlist that have "Uknown" as their client. So obviously A. The tracker doesnt have updated clientID list or B. The tracker sucks.
Its probably both.

Hmmm... really? I got 2.2.0.2, 2.3.0.0, 2.3.0.2, & 2.3.0.4 to display correctly on Boxtorrents.com(and all others)--that's why I just didn't bother releasing other spoof updates if it didn't display on Box.
One sure update would be Burst 1.1.4, it also displays correctly on Box and others.

BoxTorrents acts funny. There are ALOT of people with Clients as Unknown. And others that display incorrectly. So i dont think it is how it reads the client but how up to date the tracker is and how it interprets the clientID's. I noticed that they have edited it because it shows Official 4.0.2 and not BitTorrent 4.0.2

And are you sure Burst/1.1.4 Is newest version? On the site it says 3.1.0b

1.1.4 refers to the core version, not the gui update. Although it would be funny to see ppl with Burst/3.0.1 shown

works fine , but a dynamic fake ratio whould be so cool :D

I have updated the anonymous option for 1.8 to show ABC 3.0.1 instead of ABC 2.6.9. Ive tested on several trackers all working perfectly. Enjoy.

P.S to mods/admins - Im not able to edit my main post because its older than 1440 minutes. mabye people who create the topics should be always able to edit would be nice.

The spoofing of ABC 3.0.1 works great, however it ends up with telling the tracker how much i have uploaded but it fails to send at how much speed i did it.

so you have for exemple:

14 MB uploaded at 0.00kb/s and connected for 8.00 minutes

Spoofing azureus 2.3.0.4 works perfect without a glitch

good work by the way
