quite against PSP... I find that I do not like the media they use (MM + UMD).. plus the batt life suck I hear...

Buy it you can read video mp3 and play everywhere you want. not a waste of money.

I'd bear with the weight and carry a laptop around instead.

PSP is a bit expansive but it is a MUST-TO-HAVE console!!!

the ps3 is comming soon
dont buy the ps2

i bought an ipon mini and i realized that i wouldnt be using all that space so in place i returned it and got a psp and have been satisfied since! with my wireless connection, its cool browsing the web with it, and its very hackable, as in you can play bootleg games and movies on it easily! :P

I think it's too expensive for the time being and i don't think
there are a lot of good games for psp for now
but it can play your movies&music from the web.
IF YOU THINK YOU NEED IT AND YOU HAVE EXTRA CASH WHAY NOT ?
IT'S GOOD FOR TRAVELING BUT IF YOU PLAY AT HOME
I THINK A GOOD PC OR XBOX\PS2 IS BETTER

I reckon the psp is great, although a little expensive, and wish it used standard dvd media instead of this original sony crap!

it depends what youll use it for. if youll use it for gamez than get it!! but if you want video get a portable video player like an archos or something.... because i know i would never play a lot of gamez on it i would get a archos...

I just want more storage and the PSP is bought!

i saw it a few days at a friends house and it looks real cool.
until a few days i would not buy it because the on 2.0 psp you couldn't play hacked stuff, but now thats people did a downgrade i really dont know if to buy it or not... its alot of money!

what you guys think?

Buy Buy Buy!!!! You can downgrade to 1.5 from 2.0 firmware add a memorystick to microdrive adaptor Bam you have 6gb of storage now, couple it with the UMD emulator and download games off of bitorrent! 5 downloaded games later you recoup your money as an investment!! not to mention you can play your downloaded movies in divx ofcourse no more need to switch games from umd to umd and the benefit of longer batterylife and faster loading times rocks!

psp rules, it's got way more features than the nintendo ds. buy it now, i have one myself and it's my favorite possession, besides my xbox.

i think i will but a used one on eBay or something seems more reasonable then buying one on bestbuy...

too expensive for me :(

yeh, but if u have tons of cash & lik the gadgetrys enough than why not?? it looks pretty sweet 2 me! huge-ass screen, nice lookin hardwares. only the games r 2 expwn$ive, i really wish they werent so pricy.

i'd def. get one if i played much small tiny games on a screen like that. but i'd rather use my big computer monitor. much nicer on the eyes.

Careful waht you download - I heard there is a hack that will cripple the unit permanently - FRIED!

Cripple the unit totally? I havent heard of this happening. As far as I know the ORIGINAL PSP unit with I think firmware 1.0 allowed you to play copied games from a memory stick. Not 100% on that. I dont think its worth getting one anyway until UMD burners are available. Im not saying this purely from a "pirates" point of view, but what if you want to make backups of your original games? You cant because UMD is a sony proprietary format so far. Absolute crap if you ask me. BOOOOOOOO SONY!
