HOW TO BLOCK VAC2
This guide will explain how you can block VAC2 (from scanning your computer for cheats) using your firewall. For this guide I will explain how to use ZoneAlarm to block VAC2, but you can do it with just about any firewall that supports blocking IP Ranges.
Basically what you need to do is use ZoneAlarm to block every IP address but the IP address of the server you wish to connect to. Since I want this to be as easy as possible to understand, I will explain what you need to do step by step.
For this guide we will use Google for the example server. Which means that we will block every IP address except 72.14.207.99. (0.0.0.0-72.14.207.98 & 72.14.207.100).

Find your server IP address.
1. Open Steam and go into the server browser to find a server.
2. When you find the server you want, highlight the IP address and copy it.
3. Open up notepad and paste the IP into notepad so you don’t lose it.
4. You can now exit any Steam windows, but you don’t need to close Steam.
5. Now for the example we will pretend that 72.14.207.99 is the IP address of the server. (It is actually
www.google.com) <http://www.google.com)>.
Set up ZoneAlarm to block two IP ranges.
1. Open up ZoneAlarm and click the on the side where it says “Firewall”.
2. Within the “Firewall” section, click on the “Zones” tab at the top.
First IP range.
3. At the bottom right click the “Add” button and select “IP Range”.
4. In the the first “IP Address” enter the IP “0.0.0.03.
5. In the second “IP Address” the IP which comes right before your server IP, our server IP is “72.14.207.993, so for our example we will enter “72.14.207.98“.
6. Now give this IP range a description, you can put anything you want, but to make things simple we will put “Range #13 for ours.
7. Click “OK”.
Second IP range.
8. At the bottom right click the “Add” button and select “IP Range”.
9. In the the first “IP Address” enter the IP that comes right after your server IP, in our case it is “72.14.207.100“.
10. In the second “IP Address” enter the IP “255.255.255.2553.
11. And just like before, give this IP range a description, we’ll use “Range #23.
12. Click “OK”.
*Both IP ranges should be kept “Zone” status “Trusted” until you are in Counter-Strike: Source.

Joining the server.
1. Open Steam and load up Counter-Strike: Source.
2. ALT-TAB to your desktop.
3. Open ZoneAlarm and change both your new “IP Ranges” to “Zone” status “BLOCKED”. *Make sure that you click “Apply” at the bottom right.
4. ALT-TAB back into Counter-Strike: Source.
5. Open up the console and enter “connect 72.14.207.993, that is that IP address that we used, you should enter yours. (It should look like this in console “connect 127.0.0.1:270153, that is an example server)…
LEAVE THE 2 IP RANGES BLOCKED for as long as you are in the server, unless you get a connection error.
I have found that when you get in the server you can leave the 2 IP ranges blocked. Previously I found that I would get a connection error, but I allowed access to my ISP IP and then was able to play fine, some people will need to allow your ISP to connect, others may not… If you end up having to do this you’ll just need 3 IP ranges…(you can figure it out since its hard to explain.)

Okay so it seems like this will take a while, well actually it does but once you learn how to do it you can do it quite fast. The reason that I used 72.14.207.99(google) for the example is so people can test it out by connecting to it in their browser when the IP ranges are blocked, then they can see that it does connect to the server… Now I don’t know if Google changes IP addresses ever, so I can’t be certain if that will stay Google’s IP.
This method should work for quite a while, at least until Valve decide that they want to scan your computer for hacks while in the server, which isn’t likely to happen because it would slow down every server and cause lag.
This is VAC2 proof because VAC2 will be blocked from connecting to your computer… (Don’t be discouraged from how many steps this is, I made it longer with more steps to make it simple for the average joe.).. If anyone has any problems, comments, money they want to give away, ideas, or just anything, post… The only thing that I ask is that you stay ontopic (VAC2 blocking/disabling, avoiding bans, legally).

also ich hab auch zone alarm aber nich pro, und ich bin schon direkt am anfang gescheitert weil ich keine option zum Blocken der ip finden kann(aber vllt bin ich auch nur zu doof xD)
