Intellectual Property theft reached its highest levels ever in the first half of 2005, but there's more to it than just trading copyrighted files.

Ha, what executives just don't understand is most of the p2pers that DL their stuff would not buy it in the first place. I have never purchased legit music in my life and never plan to, but napster got me listening to music of my choice rather than radio. Emule got me playing all these different types of games like sports, racing, etc, but I wouldn't have bought them anyways, cause the only legit game I've bought was W3 and CS. They can whine all they want about p2p putting a major dent in their revenue, but I think it may actually help advertise so that if a game is good enough, they might actually buy it for its online features or a future version.

same here. i just don't have the money to buy software for such outrageous prices. like paying 30$ just for a cd-burner software it's ridiculous. and the only thing that seems unpirate-able is online games.
