If you want to use more effective editor instead of notepad

Hi to all.

I have searched a lot which software must be used instead of notepad there are several software which are freeware or shareware.
Ofcourse if there is freeware why would we use sharewhare!!
In freeware applications i choose one of them and want to introduce it to you.

Metapad

metapad is a small, fast (and completely free) text editor for Windows 9x/NT/XP with similar features to Microsoft Notepad but with many extra (and rather useful) features. It was designed to completely replace Notepad since it includes all of Notepad's features and much, much more.

you can search for another tool, it could be overlooked but metapad is simple and fast while opening big files.
You can send your applications like this one.

I prepared a .bat file to replace metapad with notepad.Copy this file into the metapad directory and run it , a DOS screen will appear write "Yes" whatever it says.After you will see a popup window of windows like "replace xp cd etc..." choose Cancel and all is done.You can use metapad instead of notepad.

The first what I do when install Windows is replace notepad by metapad .

it's futures are good but we cant put them into same category because metapad dont use any plugin,it all has build in.Notepad++ means plugins (++).
The plugins up it one category above.

Although it’s not freeware, I have had good experiences with UltraEdit-32.

I believe that they offer a free trial version. I remember when I was looking around for a good editor. Several of my friends recommended it to me and I have not been disappointed with it since I started using it.
