This TV-B-Gone uses a 9V battery to send its signal through a matrix of 20 IR LEDS. This extends the working range of the device to about 90ft (line of sight). Using this in a regular sized room you are pretty much guaranteed to kill the TV no matter where you point it.

I remember doing this with a Palm's infrared port. Changing the volume and channels of TVs in rooms, annoying people. The programs were limited at the time though.

What I'd do to walk into a best buy with ones of those things, turning off 40+ HDTV's at once and watching the employees scramble to get them back on! :auslach_2:

By far the most useful spot would be the doctor's office where they have the same crappy programming (Okra, Dr. Pills, Ellen Degenerate, etc) and no way to switch the channels (glass enclosing). I'd like to see the expressions on all those nurses and receptionists faces when the T.V magically switches to something manly like Cops or ESPN.
