Yeah, the purpose of the QoS scheduler is to give some room for the tcp ACK packets to find their way back to your computer. If your ACK packets get stuck in a queue, your browsing, etc grinds to a halt under heavy p2p traffic.

thanx for the explantion guys

Thanks for the tip. I generally find the most useful "speed" tweak when P2Ping is using the eventid4226 patch. It's not really a speed tweak of course but when you leech and browse you'll find your browsing to be a whole lot faster and responsive than if this wasn't tweaked. I've also tried tcpoptimizer but it didn't do that much for me.

wow thats amazing ... what were they thinking out there in microsoft when they decided to take those 20% from us ?? it is absolutly rudness to do such a thing.
i hope my network games will get better now with less lags
thanks

In South Africa, our fastest line is currently 1mbit per second (soon to be 4mbps) and just the line itself (without isp) costs $100

pretty nice tip, going to try it out, hopefully i'll get some speed back.

Re

hope that it 100% works

kjkönnte mir das einer mal auf deutsch erklären check mich ur ned aus??
pls thx im voraus

mine was set as not configued so i just set it to disabled, i hope it has the same effect.

Already known, but thanks anyway - A good way to increase your internet speed :P

another better way is to use uncapping method with cable modem, this way boost my connection from 128K to 10Mbps

tried it long time ago ...didn't see much difference.

thanks anyway

also it wont be any good if u dont use the evidpatch from lvllord together which changes the connect rate by raising half open to 50 instead of win xp sp2 default 10 (Think its only if u have XP SP2)

A simpler way is to remove the QoS service from your Network connection.

Simpler and easier

The QoS service in XP Pro was designed mainly for systems connected to a domain controller.
The domain controller can download windows updates and send the updates to each individual pc connected to it.

The typical home user does not need to have the QoS service attached to their network connection
