Hello, I would like to raise an issue regarding the p2p client protection mechanism.

I am just wondering why there is still no p2p client can provide communication encryption and IP hiding.

If there is a way to protect user not to be monitored by the others on the internet, then users don’t have to worry when they are using p2p client.

Under this protection, the people who monitor my internet may know I am using the p2p client, but they would never know the content of this connection, and of course, this is no one can sue the p2p client users.

I guess there must be some technical issues can not be solved so this kind of protection still not be provided in p2p client. Could someone tell me what it is, and is there any similar technologies we can expect to provide the same protection in the future?

I am sorry about my poor English if you have trouble to read this mail, and also if there is any misunderstanding about the technical aspects, please feel free to let me know.

Thank you for your time and effort, I am looking forward to get your response, thanks a lot.

there is programs like this if you look around, but the speeds are slow and low user-base. besides, most countries don't have to worry about getting sued

what would be the point of providing encrpytion and IP hiding. bcos no matter how secure the program is there is always a weak part in the chain where the authorities could look throught besdies, And like kenrin said for such a feature, you will have to give up something, most notably speed. Which no one want's to

There have different charge about DL, UL(Share), Used & Copy in my country. :beten_2:

So i very need "No Upload" Mods. :frown: It made me got less crime, because i don't UP anything.

i think you are right, even affread to be caught. i dont want lose the speed.

Maybe , i sure to look for whole HDDisk encryption appz .

if you don't want to up anything better off using either pimp my emule or newsgroups i guess

to prevent an ISP traffic shaping on your habits

changing ports won't have any effect to defeat them they monitor at packet level

exactly , if someone feels too much paranoid , then better use newgroups where u have to PAY for ur warez .

you don't "PAY" for the warez. you pay for the bandwidth and ability to use their servers for easy access to the content

yes i know we are paying for the servers , but ur paying to the server to get warez content isnt it , thats what i was trying to say earlier ..

Encyrption (two way encyption) will sacrifice your speed. Until IPv6 becomes the normal you will have to live with it.

ipv6 will make it even harder to encrypt. Basically the idea of hiding is worthless since there are only 2 ways to do it. 1 way is you send data over several access points, such as around the world. The more points it passes through the harder it is to trace back. You sacrifice a ton of speed for this. Other is newsgroups, they allow completely anonymity unless the fbi asks for it.
