If theres one thing that bugs me more than threads about what sort of system we have, it's threads about drooling over the latest piece of expensive hardware. My 6800 gt pci express is just find for anything i've played. Let them drop this piece of hardware about one third the price and i'll consider buying it myself.

Omg, there's only so much polygons and fps that one needs to enjoy the game. Although, if I had money to blow I might... no, no, no I wouldn't--it's just a waste of money when one X1800 card can accomplish so much.

with up to 377 Watts power consumption you will need kinda external psu just for your graphics card.

Look at the space requirements of those 2 cards. They easily occupy 4 internal slots. At this rate, you would have to rely on a motherboard with built in capabilities such as sound and lan or you probably won't have enough ports to add in other expansion cards.

they are elusively avoiding releasing their already completed next gen cards.
