I would assume reading is a form of Entertainment if one enjoys it... right?

My all-time-fav author would be Raymond E. Feist and almost all his series are classic fantasy novels (e.g. Rift War Series, Serpent War Series, Kelewan)

Heard a lot about The Divinci Code but never got around to it.

I like Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" saga, Frank Herbet "Dune" (I liked the first four books, the rest made no sence to me), Stephen King's "Dark Tower", Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" and the work of Nick Perumov.

I'd say Terry Pratchett for fantasy, and Rudy Rucker for science/fiction even though Rudy really needs to write more.

The Divinci Code is neither science-fiction nor fantasy. I read the illustrated version and it was quite good nontheless.

I like Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" saga, Frank Herbet "Dune" (I liked the first four books, the rest made no sence to me), Stephen King's "Dark Tower", Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" and the work of Nick Perumov.

I can't believe I forgot the "Dark Tower" series in my first post. Those are excellent too. I didn't think he would ever get those finished!

I also have to add Terry Goodkind and his Sword of Truth series as must read fantasy. His style and storytelling is topnotch and smooth as brandy. I swear you'll be enthralled with his world and characters herein.

douglas adams - id have to say he is one of the best, come on - hitchhikers guide to the galaxy HAS to be considered sci-fi, or atleast sci-fi comedy

the hitchhikers guide series is awesome, so unique
