Dear Community,

long time no see

As promised, we again (although we prefer to not unreveal too much)
give you a quick look to what is coming soon. DT Pro leaved the internal
tests and it's now (soon) up for the beta-tester-crew to find the last
bugs we overlooked (for sure) here and there. The development of V4 is also nearly finnish.

There are parts of which we're all a little bit pride, although it's still in
development, we made several steps forward to the world first IDE-virtual-drive.
Here, some work has to be done. It is planned to integrate it later (couple of
months) to DT Pro as new IDE-adapter-plugin, so you can chose between the usual
scsi-stuff and the new ide-device. You surely understand that we give NO
further technical details about it, it's confidential and we even thought to
maybe NOT reveal the pure existence, but then we decided to at least
let you all know about it so you see there's indeed a bomb coming soon

Another interesting modul will be the on-the-fly-encryption/decryption of
images and the planned authoring of cd/dvd's (we're negotiating with other
companies about development, so you better not expect it to be ready soon after
release. It is, however, planned.

The whole status of the project is frozen now, that means that no new funcionality
is added (to the core) and now the external beta-phase is next step.

As usual, we give NO release date. But as internal beta-phase was already performed,
we didn't expect to much "resistance" here

hmm hope it is good, the last vers was buggy as hell. And it wasnt the virus problem.


i alwyas prefered this over alcohol 120%

never got a prob with it when enabling all emulation options. This is a brillant piece of software. Hope the v4 pro is a gre8 1 with much enhancement n low memory usage

Alcohol 120! Its got a forum of people that can help you with basically anything! I've used Daemon tools but I guess I like Alcohols somewhat easy get to it interface.

Ive been using DT for years and never actually used the copy protection-proof part

Liebe Community,

lange nicht gesehen,

Wie versprochen (Obwohl wir es bevorzugen nicht zu viel zu enthüllen) geben wir euch einen Blick auf das was bald kommen wird. DT Pro hat den internen Test hinter sich und ist jetzt auf dem Weg zu dem Team von Betatestern, um die letzten Fehler,die wir mit Sicherheit hier und da übersehen haben zu finden. Die Entwicklung von D4 ist fast abgeschlossen.

Es sind einige Dinge enthalten auf die wir, obwohl sie noch in Entwicklung sind sehr stolz sind, wir haben einige Schritte auf dem Weg zum weltweit ersten virtuellen IDE-Laufwerk gemacht. Aber hier muss noch einiges gemacht werden. Es ist geplant das später zu integrieren (einige monate) DT Pro hat ein neues IDE-Plugin so dass man zwischen dem gewöhnlichen SCSI- und dem neuen IDE-Device wählen kann. Ihr versteht sicher, dass wir KEINE weiteren technischen Details darüber geben können, das ist geheim und wir dachten sogar erst daran die Existenz nicht zu enthüllen, aber dann entschieden wir uns es doch zu tun und euch zu zeigen, dass eine richtige Bombe auf euch zu kommt.

Ein weiteres interessantes Modul wird der on-the-fly verschlüsselung/entschlüsselungsmechanismus von Images und der geplante Modus zum Authoren von CDs und DVDs sein (Wir verhandeln derzeit mit
Firmen über die Entwicklung, also erwartet besser nicht dass es bald nach dem Release fertig sein wird, obwohl es geplant ist.)

Der gesamte Entwicklungsprozess ist jetzt eingefroren, dass bedeutet, dass keine neuen Funktionen mehr hinzugefügt werden und das der externe Betatest der nächste Schritt ist.

Wie gewöhnlich geben wir KEIN Releasedatum bekannt. Aber weil die interne Betaphase schon hinter uns liegt erwarten wir keinen allzu großen "Wiederstand"

EDIT: Die nächste Verlautbarung wird am Sonntag, 23 Juli um 14.00 Uhr veröffentlicht.

Yeah it looks nothing like the old v3.47 which im currently useing ... what do you guys think about it ? is it any good ?

Did you pay attention to the emulation bar at the bottom of the image
actually, it makes DT pro looks more like gamejack instead of Alcohol :top:

Wow das hört sich an und ich hoffe das er den Herstellern von Star Force 3 in den arsch tritt denn da ist ja zur zeit ohne externes USB Laufwerk nicht viel zu machen und das wundert mich etwas

yep, thats why DT4 catches so much attention

Starforce 3 turns to hate - hate turns depression - depression turns to desperation - and desperation turns to you forking out hard earned money to pay for a game that is morally, wish DT4 would be the salvation

Yeah, PROs are usually non-free. But in case your do not need to create protected images yourself u may refrain from Alcohol entirely.

DT4 Pro looks great, i have personally always preferred dtools over alcohol, i experienced great problems with some games while using alcohol, i was advised by an informed peer to switch to dtools, after uninstalling alcohol, and installing dtools 4, i have found that the issue is resolved. Wether your a alcohol or dtools fan im sure the release of dt4 pro will be a tremendous step forward.
