That's the error message I've been getting while connecting to trackers ever since I reinstalled XP this week.
That's on ABC

uTorrent gives me : Error! Port 32459 does not appear to be open.

Here's the strangest part , my modem-router does not function as a router , only as modem , I'm using the XP dialer to log on to the internet.

This is your problem. I guess you can't access the net as well. You better release/renew your ip properly from the router.

you most likely problem is that your network settings are wrong. go into network wizard and run it, then turn off the XP firewall it puts on, then you should be unlimited again

Wtf does that mean? He's not using port 4662 or the range of ports that most private trackers ban from using.

I have a problem with one of my desktops having limited or no connectivity. It uses a 75ft poor quality cat5 cable. It will connect to the internet but transfer rates max out at around 18Mbps even though connection is said to be at 100Mbps. It gets worse when I turn on the bathroom fan or any sort of machine running a sizable amount of current in the walls near the wire, such as connection turning on and off. However that should not affect your ability to listen to port, but will affect your speeds or connectivity.

you connect through another pc to the intertnet?
or directly to the internet?
