Sorry to bump an old thread, but this works on Windows as well. Das ist fur Windows, Linux, und Macintosh. eMule is better for Windows, but this is multiplatform.

If you use the original clients there are no (significant) differences.
aMule is a native Linux, Windows and MacOS-Tool and eMule is only a Windows-application. (But it is possible to use it with wine under linux)
A point against aMule is, that there are not so much mods for it as for eMule.

So all in all eMule seems to me that eMule is better.
